Home Again Home Again

Posted By on September 13, 2004

We arrived at the airport in lots of time. My father helped me get to the security gate and from there we made it to the gate itself in short time. By the time we got through security it was 2 hours before our flight. I took Caroline to a play area near our gate and let her run around for about an hour. A bunch of young boys came into the area and chaos ensued. The parents were keeping the kids under control and paying attention to what was going on, but you get that many boys in a group and they start to act like well boys. So I packed Caroline up and gave her a bottle of milk I was holding in reserve. We got to the gate and the plane was listed on time. At 3:00 it went to 4:00 departure then 4.20. We got in the air at 5:10. Caroline promptly went to sleep. She woke up briefly then settled back to her nap which she really needed.

It is always interesting to go back to where you grew up. I find things that are so changed and other things that have not changed at all. One thing I did notice was the number of McMansions going up in the Atlanta Area. Property prices are going through the roof for large houses on postage stamps. Also at the end of my parents

Hope she’s over the sniffles soon, Kath! My fellow blogger Dwight Meredith lives in Atlanta and said the same thing about the McMansions; apparently they’re growing so quickly even long-time residents are noticing…
