“Finding Nemo”? Well done! I have a feeling that all those studies from The College of Pediatric Physicians (the research that discourages television viewing for children)came from scientists that, in fact, have never actually travaled with kids. Safe (and quiet) trip.

Another thing that works for my daughter is music. I got her hooked on musicals (My Fair Lady, Mary Poppins) so I don’t have to listen to “I’m a Little Teapot” for the millionth time. The Chenille Sisters are great. They have some kids CD’s and their music is Andrews Sisters type harmony. I bought an inexpensive CD player and so far it’s worked wonderfully.

Music works well for Caroline except she doesn’t like the headphones and tends to want to dance around. As soon as she will wear headphone I plan to use music to entertain her along with books on CD. It was pointed out to me that Finding Nemo is almost like watching a tank of fish for 90 min if you do it with out the sound. Which is what I do when we are in airports.
