Quiet Sunday

Peter is off in LA. The Tonys are on tonight. And the girls and I are gonna settle back and watch them.
Other than that, today was pretty quiet. I took Peter to the airport. Ariel took Caroline to a local fair which was with in walking distance. They had rescued greyhounds there which Caroline had great fun petting. Caroline also played with her good friend Katie.
Yesterday she had a blast playing with her cousins and her cousins’ friends at her cousin Sarah’s birthday party. My sister-in-law Beth did her usual great job with the party making sure that the kids were occupied and having fun without forcing the fun on them. Caroline came home with a birdhouse she painted and a butterfly feeder. She was still talking about it today.
Tomorrow I take her to her second swim lesson and we have a few errands to run. Ariel has a full day as exams and regents loom on the horizon and the school year winds down.
I am grateful that Caroline had such a fun filled weekend.
You realize, of course that today, it is the cousin’s 6th birthday party, tomorrow, it will be the girls’ 18ths and 21sts.
