They have lost the repair

Apple don’t know nothing about my computer right now. But they are looking into it as in where the iBook is. *sigh*
This could be really bad.
I am grateful that I won’t be losing any pictures at the point.
UPDATE: DHL managed to find it and it has been sitting in the local warehouse but they swear it will get to Apple today. Now the fact that Apple doesn’t have the ticket for the repair in their system anymore concerns me.
Got to love these organisations. Sounds like their left hand doesn’t know what their right hand is doing.
How’s Caroline? Is she over that bug?

Back in ’77, Susan and i had just bought our first Honda new, and it had an internal boo boo when less than a week old.
So we took it to the nearest dealer we could find.
After several hours of waiting – longer than they said it ought take – i inquired where was my car?
Car? says they. What car?
My brand-new red Honda Civic 5-speed? says i.
Nope, says they. Never seen it. Go away, we’re closing. Maybe we can find it tomorrow.
No, no, says i. Here’s the ticket, where’s the car?
Oh, says they. That car! We wondered where that one came from – it hasn’t got papers. It’s fixed, though. No charge, warranty, you know.
Turned ou tthat the agency owner had been “helping” in the Service Department and misfiled the paperwork on several cars…
Couple years later the same dealer got hit with a $48,000 judgement because the owner’s son and a bunch of his friends showed up drunk outside the home of a customer who was refusing to pay for “repairs” on his BMW so badly done that he had to take it to another dealer and spend more than the first dealer had charged to repair not only the original (uncorrected) problem, but also what they had done to “fix” it.
They threw rocks, yelled, and threatened a neighbour who told them the guy wasn’t home – and then drove away in the BMW demo with the dealer plate on it.
They don’t sell Hondas anymore, and i haven’t heard of any dealer in the Atlanta area voluntarily giving up the Honda franchise…
