   The closest I ever got to Millionaire was to call in and take the phone quiz when Regis was doing it. I didn’t pass, of course.

   I’d like to think either you or Peter will make it on WWTBAM sometime, Kath — it’s certainly something that should be right up his alley, and from what I’ve seen of your writing online my bet is that the same goes for you.

   I passed the phone quiz a couple of times during the prime-time era, and even got the call-back for the semifinal round once. Unfortunately, that’s as far as it got — I did well in that round, but apparently so did lots of other people. Ah, well.

   My closest real brush to Millionaire fame is that Brad Herzog, who picked up a nice chunk’o’change on the show, graduated from Cornell the same year I did. 🙂
