Feeling a little better

Posted By on July 30, 2004

My head cold seems to be going away. I am holding great hope for that to happen. Travel always seems to drain the energy right out of you. Any rest/relaxation you get on a vacation can vanish on the trip back home due to a multitude of factors. If I am going to get sick, it seems to happen after I have been traveling.

Still waiting for the box to ship my poor sick little I-Book in. If it doesn’t come today, I plan to call Apple again and find out what is going on.

I need to sit down and write out a plan for what is next. I am still trying to find that “perfect” job since the one I have is very nice but is basically a freelance gig with some very nice perks.

I heard Kerry’s speech last night. I thought that he did very well in defining himself and his campaign. It started a bit slow but by the end he was all revved up and ready to go. I don

I’m glad you’re feeling better, Kath. Hope your cold goes the way of the Model T.

I didn’t really follow the DNC convention, but I did hear a bit of Kerry’s speech. Didn’t believe a word of it. How can you call a war “wrong, immoral, and unjust” yet say you’re going to stay the course?

He says he knows what it’s like to fight in a war, but didn’t we lose that war he fought in?

Okay, I’m not going there anymore here. I’ll save that for your husband’s DNC attack machine postings.

Back to your iBook. You might need to take the initiative and FED-EX your iBook to Apple yourself.

    Glad you’re feeling better, Kath.

How long have you been waiting for the box from Apple? I’m waiting for one as well, so far without success.

Update: I finally, FINALLY got my box from Apple a few minutes ago.

At least with me, however, the problem isn’t Apple — it’s Airborne/DHL. How those idiots remain in business is far beyond my meager comprehension.

You might want to call Apple back and see if they’ve sent yours. If they have, get a tracking number and start getting in DHL’s face about it.

It took me three days to get a box I could’ve driven to get in 4 hours round-trip (a point I made repeatedly to the DHL twerps). Here’s hoping your luck is better than mine.

I thought you guys might get a kick out of this since you’re both Mac people.

    Check it out. It’s hilarious!

Heh … that is pretty funny. (What I find truly disturbingly funny about it is that the leftmost guy seems a dead ringer for David Duchovny. Why I find this amusing is unknown.) Thanks!
