Or rather after we pack the car and get Caroline ready to go. That and I have to pack the cold stuff and the electronics after Peter downloads what he needs to download into the laptop. OK, we’re close to getting out of here.
The village did at good job and our street is dry. I figure that the on and off ramps are where any trouble would be in our drive.
Doctor Who puppets for Farpoint this year. I didn’t get the critters done so those will be shown at LunaCon for the first time. Which is good because I’ll rush less on them and be able to do some of the detail I was not going to be able to get to.
So see some of you down there.
I am grateful that the snow was in the middle of the week.

Last night starting about sundown the blizzard hit. The wind was howling and the snow was blowing about the area. I could feel the cold coming off the walls of the house as we were buffeted by both snow and wind. It was a good night to be indoors. We went to bed not knowing what we would see this morning or if Caroline would have school today but my bet was no. Too bad I didn’t have money on it because I was right.
That they cancelled school was not too surprising since we spent about 90 minutes getting a path cut from the front door to the street. Peter cleared the sidewalk in front of the house so we are compliant with the village rules. I am going to go out and salt in a bit to make sure that we have everything in place. I really want to clear the sidewalk today so the sun has a chance to dry it out. I don’t even want to think what the side roads look like today and am glad we live on a major village artery.
Farpoint is looking good for us. Given another 24 hours, we will be able to get where we need to go. I am looking forward to seeing all my buddies (Note to Eta, I’ll have the stuff ready to go on Saturday. Alice in Wonderland is a good theme.) I have had to rethink the Art Show. I have stuff to bring but I think the dolls are going to wait until LunaCon.
I sliced a small chunk out of my left index finder after an accident with scissors (No, I was not running with them). It is a clean cut and I did all the stuff to make sure it stays that way but it hurts when I flex the finger.
Today is going to be about the packing and the cleaning along with keeping Caroline from going stir crazy as this is the second day she is stuck in the house.
I am grateful that we didn’t have more snow than we had and it wasn’t on top of the previous storm that missed us entirely.

This morning we did have snow on the ground. Peter did a quick clearing of our driveway and sidewalk just to get a jump on things. Between Peter and I, we managed to get everything done that needed to be done outside the house so we are good for a couple of days snow bound. The big question mark is if we can get out of here for Farpoint or not. I have a feeling we aren’t going to know until Friday and what conditions are like.
I am going to go on the assumption that we will be going and will use my time accordingly. I also plan to do laundry today so Peter’s bowling shirt will be ready for this evening just in case. But since I started typing this, the snow has gotten bigger and faster. So bowling may be moot this evening. However I planned to do laundry today.
I also have to keep Caroline amused as Peter has a number of things he wants/needs to get done before we leave for Farpoint. I have to repair one of her toys before all else. Her Fashion Pup is damaged.
I hope everyone is safe, warm and dry.
I am grateful that we got what we got done yesterday.
Yeah, the website was down for 24 hours and is now back up. My only post was about the new Beeker video on Muppet Studio site on youtube.

Well the creek ain’t gonna rise but the snow fall may make it a little tricky to get down there and back. I think everyone is going to bring a shovel with them just in case. Funny thing is that the last time we had this much snow around Farpoint, Ariel wasn’t coming with us to Farpoint because she was off with the other side of her family at a bar mitzvah I believe. So I have my compact shovel all ready to go.
I am having fun with the critters I am working on for the art show. They are a little different for me. I have them in my head. Now I have to see if I can make them a reality in this dimension. I may start posting pictures to motivate my art.
Coheed and Cambria put up a pre-order for a deluxe pack with their new CD and the book that Peter did with Claudio. More information can be found here. I am quite proud of this collaboration between my husband and this kick-a** band.
Superbowl was fun. Saints won and the crowd went wild. It was nice to have a game when the game itself was as interesting as the commercials. I think my favorite was punch buggy but the Letterman ad was one for the ages. I also liked the Simpson’s ad and hope I see that a couple more times. Most of the Coke ads were pretty good. The Budwiser ads were an interesting mix.
OK back to sculpting and a few other chores that do need to get done today.
I am grateful that we had such a nice family evening watching the Superbowl.

I have no vested interest in the game other than one set of boxes at the bowling alley for which I got really sucky numbers so no wins for me this year.
We have the food for the game. I have all kinds of fun nibble food to eat. Caroline is even going to try a couple of new things.
But first Bowling! The Chris Paul Celebrity Invitational is on at 2 pm on ESPN. It promises to be silly fun.
I got the start to a project done. Now onto the next part which I can do during the Super Bowl. Bwahhahaahaaaaaa.
I am looking forward to Farpoint if we can get down there which will be the only reason we don’t make it down there. We will be leaving early Sunday due to other obligations in New York City.
I am grateful that we watch the Superbowl to watch together as a family.
