No Strings Attached

Something happened yesterday that has put a smile on my face for a number of reasons.

My buddy Martin texted me “Did you give Karen Gillan a puppet? She posted a video of her using the puppet and singing a song.”

(for the visually impared: This is from right to left Caroline, Karen Gillian, and the Nebula puppet. Caroline is wearing a purple top. Karen is wearing a white top. The Nebula is blue with a purple top.)

I texted “Is this the puppet? if so I need a link.”

Just at that point my WiFi decided to drop out again so after some frustration I played the link within the story and much to my delight I saw my puppet being used by Karen to belt out “Stormy Weather”. I couldn’t stop grinning. She had a lovely smoky voice made for torch songs.

I am so happy to find that she really does love her puppet. I gave her the choice of what character she wanted at Shoreleave and got it to her a little over a year later when our paths crossed again at DragonCon.

I am grateful that this little thing happened.
