The Writing’s on the Wall

As in I have that song stuck in my head. Yes, it won the Oscar, which is probably why it started up again in my head. I think if I could get all the way through it, it might vanish but right now I am stuck on the chorus.
We have been watching the People vs. OJ Simpson. I honestly don’t remember the Kardashians being so prominent in the story. Mark Furman, Johnny Cochran, and Marsha Clarke I remember. I guess they are being put in to make it relevant to the young in this country. It has been interesting to see what I remember from that trial.
Today is a mixed day with a lot of running around for various activities.
I am just going to start at point A and see where I can get by the end of it.
I did get the paper recycling out this morning. It was a month’s worth because last time it was raining so hard I didn’t feel that getting it out would help other than to make me soggy.
It was easier when it was two bins every week.
I am grateful for reminders of upcoming events.
I can really relate to ear worms! I’ll wake up in the middle of the night and have a song play over and over, and I won’t get back to sleep for more than an hour.
That being said, I’ve also discovered that a song or lyric getting stuck in your head can be your subconscious giving you a message. What are the words that keep repeating? What was the gist of the song?
Or, it can be a psychic message. A few years ago I woke up with the words & melody of “SOS to the world… message in a bottle…” going though my mind and it would not quit. A few hours later I discovered a stray cat in the underbrush next to my home. It was lethargic and dehydrated. Talk about an SOS! I fed the kitty and took it to the local shelter for further care, but the diagnosis was terminal. If nothing else, I hope I was able to spare that kitty from a lonely demise in the underbrush. Hooray for a song getting stuck in my head.
