New Who Review for Sleep No More

This one was OK for me. Had a few good moments and the camera idea for shooting the episode was interesting. My problem is that shaky cam and glitches cause me to get motion sick so I didn’t feel too well after watching this.
Also to get the effect that they want, it had to be dark and slightly blurry, for the most part, which didn’t help me in the motion sick department.
The acting was solid and the script was fine. It was a bottle episode along with one that you could drop just about any Doctor in and it would work.
This reminded me of some of the movies like the Ring and other horror films that suggest if you watch this, then you become part of it. I don’t like those sorts of films for various reasons including how they make my innards feel.
I do know I’ll never here “Mr. Sandman” the same again.
I also have a feeling that they are slowly writing Clara out. She really didn’t need to be there except to get infected which didn’t matter because others were infected so they would serve the purpose of the plot. Which annoys me because I like Clara.
It was worth watching once but this may be one of the ones that I don’t see again or see rarely at best.
I am grateful I could make it through the episode once.
I don’t want to spoil the next episode, but…
Prepare lots of tissues. You’re going to need it. I know I did.
Dr Who is the black mark in my “geek” record. I have only seen one episode. I think it was the first episode of the new era. The impression I had was that the Doctor was a serious guy with a sense of urgency fighting silly looking living mannequins and at the end takes a lady with him as a companion. I want to give it another try. Where should I start?
Hmmmm, might start with the first Tennant episode and see if that is more to your liking.
