Yeah I know it is colder elsewhere but

Posted By on January 16, 2009

It is FRACKING COLD HERE! Exposed skin is subject to windburn as evidenced from my right cheek which is looking very mottled. I bundled Caroline up and drove her to school since I didn’t want her to stand outside for even a minute. I got her to school on time and she walked right into the building.

Personally, I am not going outside unless absolutely necessary which it will be for me to pick up Caroline at the Bus Stop. Again she steps off the warm bus and walks a block back to the house so I am not worried about her freezing. My body, on the other hand, I have dug out my warmest winter to avoid freezing while waiting for the School Bus.

So this weekend are going to give us our SuperBowl teams. I still think we are looking at Eagles vs. the Steelers and most of the sports pundits are with me. A couple said that we shouldn’t count the Cardinals out but the Eagles are not known for turnovers which is what the Cardinals have capitalized on in all the other games. The Ravens might have a chance against the Steeler but again they have won playoffs because of turnovers. Cardinals vs. Ravens would be for the birds.

I hope y’all have a good weekend. We’re going to spend it trying to keep warm.

I am grateful for heat.

Minus five and actually still droppinng in CT. Parts are colder, but the lowest I’ve ever seen here is -7. I wrap a blanket around my coat when I walk the puppy. The funniest thing is watching him try to get more than one foot off the ground at the same time; he doesn’t want to touch the snow. The other day he finally did it, flipping onto his hip and picking both back feet off the ground. If only he’d clue in and do his thing fast so he can come back in!
