The Great DVD Project

Posted By on November 12, 2008

have embarked on the great DVD project. I am sorting our collection and restoring DVDs to their original cases. I have already recovered a number of movies from cases that that they didn’t belong in. I am also returning Caroline’s DVDs that we travel with back to the cases to allow us to restart the case for the next trip which is to Atlanta I believe.

Caroline has a good day yesterday. She got to go to Childcare at the gym and see some of her old playmates. She played with her toys and she “helped” me with the DVDs mostly by finding those she wanted to watch. But she was a good girl and put them back. She also made me promise that I would put her DVDs where she can get to them..

I am hoping to finish up that project today along with the weekly larder shop. I at least need to get milk and a few other things.

I am grateful for finding the cases and their missing contents.

I’ve been doing the same thing with my CDs recently; they get quite mixed up when I swap ’em in and out of the disc wallets I carry in the car.

I’m currently in the early planning stages for a Thanksgiving trip that involves four total days of driving, and I’m actually sorting the discs in preparation for a streamlining of my travel music. I’m ripping the relatively few tracks that I haven’t converted before now, and loading all of my music onto a bunch of 2 gigabyte SD cards that I can plug into my MP3 player. It’s something I’ve been meaning to do for a while, and it will eliminate the three or four packed-full CD wallets that I usually bring on road trips.
