More Sleep Makes Kath a Happy Person

Or at least more rational than she was before.

I feel almost normal again. I have some sort of sinus thing that is in my ears as well. But the whole family is sniffy right now so I don’t know if it is allergies or a cold that we are passing around. The hardest thing is how little energy I had the past couple of days but this morning it was not hard to open the eyes as a little girl snuggled up to me and declared it morning and time to get up.

Today is all about the errands that have been piling up since I got back. I have a postal run to make. I have library books to return. I have to go restock the larder for the weekend. And I might go by the fabric store and look at what I might be doing later but I may have to go to the one further away from the house to find the pattern I need.

Tomorrow Peter will be coming home. With any luck, he will be here before Caroline leaves for school. We have missed having him here with us but know that the trip was worth it for several reasons.

I am grateful for the crisp morning weather.

I think that it’s the change of seasons, myself. We’re coming into Spring here, and there are quite few a feral head & chest bugs going around. I’ve been out of it this week, having finally caught the bronchitis type thing that has worked its way through my darling husband and the kids.

Do the errands ever stop? It’s Friday, so I need to stock the kitchen for the weekend. I have an essay and a lab report (both due 7th Oct) to work on during next week (mid semester break – a pain that my break doesn’t line up with Brooke’s school), and find time to make Brooke’s Yr 10 formal dress (end of November), before the start of next term.
