The DARK Knight lives up to its title

Posted By on July 20, 2008

I ended up blinking like an owl just coming out of the movie theater because we were basically in darkness for almost the entire movie.

Peter and I went to a showing on Friday and enjoyed most of what we saw. Ledger’s Joker really does take it up to another level (think Killing Joke kind of madness). It was nothing like Nicholson other than that Nicholson took the Joker to a whole new place that had everyone talking about as has Ledger. It would have been interesting to see what they would have done with the Joker in the next film.

I am hoping for rain today. It sure looks like it and feels like it. Maybe if I watered the lawn, it will start.

Off to take care of some stuff that needs to be taken care of.

I am grateful for few pieces of junk mail.

Loved the movie. I’m saddened that Ledger will never be able to do again what he did so well. Such a waste.

As far as the character though, I think this works well as the last movie Joker story. by the end it’s clear that the two will be forever linked, until one or both is dead.

What took me by surprise was finding out that the movie is really about Two-Face. It’s the Harvey Dent movie, co-starring batman and the joker.

I wasn’t as surprised as I’d read Nolan and Bale both liked the Long Halloween graphic novel and they adapted parts of that wonderful piece of work into this movie.
