More Rain?

Considering what happened down in Atlanta the past couple of years, I shouldn’t complain but we have about another inch of rain heading our direction. I emptied a trash can that had a substantial amount of water in it yesterday onto the flowers that are now blooming.
I have my work cut out for me this weekend. Next weekend is Icon and then we have NYCC. I did get my form in for DragonCon and am listed on the website. Next to deal with is the Art Shows I want to be in for the rest of the year. And the doll I need to make by the end of May for Wendy Froud’s class.
Tonight is the Eli Stone episode with George Michelle really being there so I encourage you to watch it. It is a really good series.
Doctor Who starts April 4th in the UK and later in April on SciFi. Sort of the way that Torchwood played on BBC America. My inner fan girl is geeking out right now.
Stalin is pretty much back to normal. He did let us squirt stuff in his ear without too much trouble yesterday.
Off to get something done today before the rain.
I am grateful for conventions that I have fun at.
Torchwood has been really good this year. The show has improved from its first season in that the actors have some great chemistry among themselves.

Will you be showing/selling anything at the ICON art show?
Thanks for the heads-up on Dr Who. I’ve been going into Who-withdrawl… especially as I don’t get BBC America.
I heard that the first new Who will be on the first night of Comicon! (if so..how dare they! esh!) Too bad we can’t get a Who panel at NYCC…last year all there was was a pitiful little display of ‘maybe we’ll get the licensing rights’ stuff in a case. Somewhere i have a picture of my SpaceSuit MinTen trying to free his tinier self from that case;)
Looking forward to the con to see folks again and meet new folks but NOT looking forward to those insanely long lines!! Last year i was stood out there for at least three hours every day and i had a weekend pass already in hand!

Well, it’s well and truly starting to feel like Autumn here. Daylight saving time ends on the 6th April (a week later than usual). The overnight temp is getting into the single numbers (celcius), and the light is changing from the intense brilliant white of Summer to the more soft, golden light of Autumn/Winter.
Oh, I forgot to add that the hockey season starts next week. Brooke’s first match is next Friday night(04/04) – GO THE GREEN AND GOLD!!!!! GO THE BULLDOGS!!!!!

Doc Who starts April 5th in the UK, not 4th. My kids have already reserved their spot on the sofa.
I was watching SciFi this afternoon and saw that the Sarah Janes will start here the week before NYCC…i’m hoping they start the new Whos on the same day. (and have to make sure i have a blank tape to catch it all on the Fri of Con)
don’t know how i could get the picture of SpaceSuit MinTen from the con in here….if you’ve got a suggestion of another place where i could put it let me know.
I’ve got to find my pinstrip ten (lurking behind this huge desk and all the other dusty stuff that’s back there)and see if he wants to be my ‘date’ for the con. (that’s what Spacesuit Ten was last year….he was a good thing to use to introduce myself to people:)I took pics of him with a lot of folks..i think Peter escaped that fate because i didn’t get to meet him until near the end of the con and didn’t want to bother him!
