T-t-t-t-tuesday

I have a purring cat on my lap that really needs his claws clipped which is always an adventure because he is a polydactyl and his claws can be very hard to clip.
I have cloudy weather that feels like snow but will probably be rain or icy rain so another day at home seems like a good idea. Because it was sunny yesterday, I ran some errands and visited a friend for lunch.
I have a lot to do today which is not unusual for me to have. I want to sort through the paper storm we have and figure out what needs to be dealt with and what can just be tossed. I think I am going to start with my desk or possibly the corner table where we keep the phone.
So what do you have today?
I am grateful for fun opportunities that show up on our doorstep.
Somehow, it surprises me not at all that the David Household has a polydactyl cat. It just seems to fit.
As I’m an accountant my list for today is taxes, taxes, taxes, and….taxes.
Going back into near perpetual lurkmode…
Wow, if we’d kept Mr. Smokey, we’d have something in common! He was a polydactyl, too. He also used to ride around on my shoulder like some black feline familiar. I’d get odd looks from the neighbors when I’d walk to the mailbox with him like that.
Not really sure if the looks were because of the cat.
I had to work, reconfigure my laptop, and edit some video. Right now I’m trying to keep the clone happy while watching the Indiana game.
I had a ‘poly’ cat. His name was Claude (clawed—hee). I lived in a tri-level house. I walked past the steps one day and saw him on the floor downstairs, cleaning himself. About 15 minutes later, he was still in the same position. I went to check on him and found he was stuck to the carpet. He was so blase about it. He was a cool cat.
We had a 24-toed cat back in the 70’s (7 front, 5 back), a sweet white one with black spots. They seem to be becoming more common these days.
Today was a half day of work, write 3 pages of oddball prose for tonight’s writers’ group meeting, which was a waste because only 3 of us showed up. Got home early from that to find out I had to go back out in the pouring rain because Mike was at the ER with Allie and Luke, as somehow Allie developed a drop-to-the-floor-and-scream ear infection between 6:30 and 8 pm. I suspect she’ll want to stay home tomorrow, and I suspect I’ll let her.
