Going off the Internet for a day

Posted By on January 17, 2008

I think this afternoon/tomorrow I am going to go off line for 24 hours. I am also going to not watch TV nor take my cell phone with me. Just to remember what life was like before I had all these distractions. It is part of my 101 in 1001 project which so far is going pretty poorly. I have a few things done and a few things started but I am nowhere near where I hoped to be.

Today I have a few errands to run with Caroline including one that I have been needed to do for about two weeks now. I think I am going to spend a good part of tomorrow figuring out how I am going to get everything done before ChattaCon and then FarPoint.

Not much else going on. Peter did rewrites to the Iron Man novelization and is now into the Hulk novelization about half way. Ariel has a big match this afternoon so think good thoughts for her team. Caroline has her usual agenda for the day. And I need a miracle to find a fabric I need for a costume.

I hope y’all have a good day.

I am grateful for Giraffes.

So – how did it go having an offline day?

I tend to find that I ‘use’ the internet because it’s there. It’s a fantastic way to waste time – but is it really any different from sitting there reading a book, or dithering around the town.

Me, I hate shopping. I go out just to get what I need. Can’t stand wandering from place to place…
