Random thoughts while cleaning

Happy (insert holiday you celebrate today here)! I hope you have a good one. Here at Casa David the decorations are up but the pumpkins still have to be carved. I did get my costume done for bowling and my team-mates and I did pretty well. We did amuse the heck out of the rest of the teams.
I am cleaning up the living room in anticipation of Halloween tonight. We like to have the place look half way decent. So while I am clean up cloth, paper and toys I plan to type random thoughts that come to me. So this entry is going to be a bit disjointed but then so is my brain.
I have reversed how I do laundry. I now do the stuff I hate folding the most (whites usually) first so I can get it out of the way for the stuff that is easier to deal with like towels.
I might be wearing the Mrs. Potts costume this evening. Caroline is iffy about it. She wants Ariel to be a ballerina. I think that means I have to be a Monster.
Found my glasses again after cleaning up my cutting table. Makes typing a little easier on the eyes.
Having just done a big paper sort I am amazed how much paper has stacked up in the past two weeks. I didn’t think it would be so. The junk mail is running heavy in political ads which will stop shortly. I did find a couple of magazines I want to read.
OK comics are sorted and the front of house looks OK although I want to do a little more before the trick or treaters start to come by which can be as early at 3 pm. Next to carve the pumpkins with Ariel and Caroline.
I went out to pick up some stuff for this evening and saw some drivers who are heading towards accidents. Especially the doofus in the sports car going about 70 who’s head when BELOW THE DASH twice! You were fricking lucky that you didn’t find yourself wrapped around that truck you almost ran into or the lexus owner who saw the same thing I did and slowed down to avoid you. How do I know this? I ran into said owner at the sandwich shop who recognized my truck who asked me if I saw what he did.
I hope every has/had a good day. I am having fun.
I am grateful that we got the house ready for Halloween.
Ahh, yes. My ironing basket is threatening to either topple over or attack me as I walk past it. I’m currently batch-sewing for my daughter’s dance studio’s end of year concert. I’m about halfway through the preschooler grade costumes (21), I then have grade 3 jazz costumes (16). I enjoy the sewing, I just hate having to draft up bigger sizes than the patterns they give me. I never learned how to do it, and it frays my nerves in case I do it wrong. They’re due by 11/11. So the only ironing getting done are daughter’s school uniforms and husband’s shirts – the rest can wait.
