Off to the Ren Faire

Posted By on September 10, 2006

We are off to the Ren Faire up in Tuxedo NY for the day.

I had a good birthday. I got to sleep in. Peter and I went to see a film that we see as a serious Oscar contender which is “The Illusionist”. I recommend it highly. (I’ll review it later). We had dinner at a local chain steak house. I watched “Jack of all trades” and “the adventures of Brisco County Jr”.

I am grateful I had such a nice birthday.

Tuxedo Renn Fair — brings back great memories. I’ve been to quite a few Renn Fairs since then, but that was the first, and in my mind the best, back when my boys were in elementary school (late 80’s/early 90’s.) Is it still good? Do they still have the living chess board?

Just saw the Illusionist last night myself — great performances by Edward Norton and Paul Giamatti, and a terrific movie overall.

I’m familiar with Brisco County Jr — one of my favorite (cancelled) Fox shows. But what is Jack of all Trades?

    And happy birthday!
