Not a Happy Camper

My cell phone was stolen and used by others. We know that the people who have used it speak Spanish since I get all the numbers called by the phone on my bill. But it is gone and I didn’t have insurance on it so it is gonna cost me a chunk of change to get a new phone which I need by DragonCon. Between that and my keys it really has been my summer to lose things.*sigh*
Needless to say that sort of put me off my game yesterday and I didn’t get as much done as I would like. But I did get a good night’s sleep last night and my eyes don’t seem to be twitching as much so maybe today I’ll make up the ground I lost yesterday. I did get a second coat of paint on the bases for the puppets and some of the hand rods done.
Caroline’s Mommy and Me teacher has gotten out of the business for a while which is too bad since she was so good with the children. Caroline couldn’t go back this fall any way since she is too old. We are figuring out what she will be doing this fall. We think Safety Swim so she can learn to swim and Soccer Tots because she loves to kick a soccer ball. Gives her some interaction with other kids, structure, and exercise all in one package.
I am grateful that I got the cell phone sorted out before a huge bill was run up.
Yikes! Sorry to hear about this, Kath. Robin just replaced a faulty cell phone that wasn’t under warranty any more, and as we didn’t want to change services or sign any 2-year contracts he researched and bought one via Amazon. If you go the same route make sure you get an UNLOCKED phone which will accept any SIM chip. It’ll make things much easier.
Dance is always good option I think. We got our daughter into dancing when she was about 2 1/2. With has three older brothers, and at the time of all the children in our street was the only girl. It was good, in that she got to mix with other little girls, and is very good for posture and fitness. This year is her 11th year with the same studio. She doesn’t do eistedffords, troupe or competition.
Field Hockey is also good, but Caroline might be a bit young yet for “minkie” (5-8 year olds). I’m guessing that it would be similar to here. Our daughter plays hockey as well as dancing lessons.
