The Weather was perfect that day. I can still remember standing there on my college campus looking into Peter’s eyes and knowing how right this was. The love from him and our friends surrounded me and uplifted me. The reception was surreal at times but a lot of fun. It was a very special day that still gives me warm fuzzies when I think about it.
I am very grateful that I married Peter 5 years ago today.
You were a beautiful bride.

(I may be misremembering, but as i recall it, the only guy around here not related to you that was taller than you was Bill Ritch.)
Sorta reminds me of the official bride&groom pic from my brother’s first marriage — he’s sitting in a chair, she’s standing next to him and they’re eye-to-eye.

Oh, well, sure — it’s just that, having never actually met Peter, i expected her to taller than he is…
(What prompted the thought was thai i was just watching Sapphire & Steel on DVD, and something i read mentioned that Joanna Lumley is taller than David McCallum, so they aranged things so that he was always standing higher than she was in shots where their heights might be obvious…)
Ummm — i expected markup to work on that; the quote was supposed to be italicised, and the word “taller” was supposed to be bolded, for ironic effect…
