Does the Dance of Juried Acceptance in an Art Show

Posted By on May 15, 2006

Peter is off this week at a conference so it is just the girls and me. We have work out most of the schedule for the next couple of days with the usual running around to appointments and games. Today is all about the errands I need to run and can run with Caroline.

In the good news category I received an e-mail from the DragonCon Art show telling me that I am in for this year. Now I have to make new stuff to go on the table. Motivation is a good thing I keep telling myself.

The girls got me the TV series “Dinosaurs” for Mother’s Day. We sat down and watched a couple of episodes. Caroline likes it a lot. She can identify the characters by their roles within the family. She thinks Baby Sinclair is “silly”. I had forgotten how good that show was. I think my favorite episode was “When Food Goes Bad” where the food in the fridge holds a revolt and captures the kids while the parents are out to dinner. Peter gave me the gift of time which is precious when you are a parent. I have to think of something nifty for him on Father’s Day in June.

I am grateful for all that my family did for me on Mother’s Day.

Comgrats on the acceptance. I’m glad people recogmise talent. I loved “Dinosaurs”, I’ ll have to see if it’s been released here. Th family got me series 1 of an Austrian programme (English name)”Inspector Rex”. I can’t speak German/Austrian, but it has subtitles.
    Cheerio

PS I’m grateful for the rain showers that we had yesterday. Not drought breakers, but enough to wash the muck out of the air, and give my poor garden a little drink. Also glad that the new chocolate cake recipe I used last night for the birthday cake turned out good too.
