New Who review for “the Long Game”

Posted By on April 22, 2006

As I stated yesterday this is not my favorite episode of this season but it is one that had repercussions from now until the end of the season. The one thing I did really like about the whole episode is that we learn that not everyone is cut out to be the Doctor’s companion and he will give you the boot if you screw up. “Bad Wolf” was back in play and the villain of the piece reasons for doing what he(?) did were interesting. Even a bad episode from this season can be better than some of the previous good episodes of bad seasons.

I am grateful that the new season is showing in the UK just wish I could see it too.

What is “Bad Wolf”? And by villain, do you mean the alien or the human Editor? And wasn’t that the guy from “Shaun of the Dead”?

Anyway, I thought this was much better than last week’s episode. Got rid of Adric Jr. Woohoo! Now just need to get rid of Peri-TNG and get some GOOD companions!

In this season of Doctor Who, the majority of the episodes have some sort of a reference to the phrase “Bad Wolf”. There’s a spoilery site that has a list of all the references.

Wow. Some people really do have too much time on their hands. Thanks, darrik.

We’s gots pirates in here, we has!

  6. Now, the big question is: By the tenets of Pastafariansim, do Internet pirates count as helping to counteract global warming, or is it only seagoing pirates that count?

  7. Tom Keller says:

Tis heresy even to ask such a question! All hail the Flying Spaghetti Monster! May you be touched by His Noodly Appendage!
