Posted By on March 19, 2006

I am blogging from my panel on blogging at LunaCon. Check here for updates.
Barbarienne is currently here with me. We are waiting for Keith DeCandio show up.
Live Journal was an early blogger as was blog spot. (We’re discuss the history on)
Barbarienne says she writes about mainly->Something interesting blog (New York);Ranting about work; Writing topics
You know what kind of blog that I write.
Still waiting for Keith (1:10)
talking about the artists and writers of stuff and why they blog.
Agents have good blogs and have a lot traffic about the how to.
Miss Snark is popular with the group.
The World according to Miss Smarty Pants caused editors to look at blogs.
1:20 no Keith
Should one be careful about what one says online? Do you think it will come back to bite you on the ášš?
the answer seem to be no.
Talking about how the “voice of the blogger” can be a very different from the visual.
favorite blogs,Neil Gaiman, Holly Black, Peter David, George R.R. Martin,
Publishers love Writers to blog. Free Publicity.
1:30 Keith showed up to the party
Keith uses his blog for promotion of his work. We all like Max Allan Collins. Some writers find blogging too much as a distraction and others use it to not work. For Keith it is a nice break from his writing. We are now talking about styles of blogs.
The Irons in the Fire Update is useful for Keith so he knows what he has to do for the day, month, year.
We read Peter’s blog to the audience and told the rest of the story.
Blogs about behind the scene working of publishing seem to be a great interest for the general public.
summing up at 1:55
Keith says Hi Elayne
So this is the end of panel.

I’m the one who asked you who you were on LJ at the end of the panel – and I forgot – so I looked you up on Google instead…my own livejournal is at anghara.livejournal.com, FYI… good panel, and loved both the substance of the writeup and the manner of it!
