Well I had an idea….

I had a great idea for my blog at 3 am. It was a wonderful thing that I could rant about and felt great passion for. I went back to sleep thinking, “Boy, that’s a good one.” I awoke this morning and haven’t a clue what that brilliant idea was other than I thought I had one very early this morning.
Wednesday at 9 pm in TV land has become a total mess and almost makes me wish we had Tivo. Bones vs. Veronica Mars vs. Lost. Plus Peter is out of the house because it is his bowling night. We think we have figured out how we are going to pull this one off. Considering all the other time slots that we don’t watch, they could have spread the wealth a little.
To those who have e-mail me recently about a number of things including puppets. I’m sorry that I am a bit behind in answering e-mails but will get to them soon. I will have some new puppets at Farpoint and the rest of the conventions that I am entered in the Art Show. I think I am up to 4 this year unless I find some others I can enter.
I really wish I could remember that idea but I have been wracking my brain while I have been typing this wondering what it was.
Peter is off to WonderCon this weekend. He agreed to go before we knew that it was going to be the county bowling tournament and the Broadway Bears auction. We have arranged for childcare so I can do both. Next weekend is Farpoint and we have our house sitter in place. Caroline I think knows what we are talking about since she has shown a great interest in swimming all of the sudden and we always swim at Farpoint. She does know that we are going on a trip soon.
Off to work on costumes.
I am grateful for VCRs.
I’m curious. Why don’t you have TiVo or some other DVR service? It’s an amazingly useful device and beats using a VCR any day of the week.
You should have a notebook on the night stand for writing down ideas that come in the middle of the night-like Seinfeld, oh wait-that didn’t work out for him did it?
I used to find that happening when writing my post grad essays. I used to do my writing after nine pm until about 3 or 4 am. I had 4 children aged between 5 years and 13 years at the time, and this was about the only undisturbed period of the day. I would be thinking of my next point as I was typing a sentence, but by the time I got to when I wanted to use it, (frequently within 3 or 4 words) I would have forgotten what I was trying to say.

Kath, I can’t recommend Tivo enough to anyone. It is a device that has completely changed the way that television is watched in our house. We watch what we want and when, and we don’t have to worry about getting the VCR set each time. Plus the on screen channel scheds and episode info are really great. We’ve had one for about a year now and can’t imagine going back to NOT having one around.
Kath, I don’t know if your local UPN affiliate does it, but here in Philly they rebroadcast the current episode of Veronica Mars at 7:00 on Sunday night. Got lucky last night…they pushed it back to 10:00 because the Sixers were on.
