The Quiet after the Storm

Posted By on January 19, 2006

Considering how the wind had been howling and pounding, it sounds a bit strange this morning not to hear it. Our neighborhood escaped the falling tree syndrome that hit other areas. I can compliment our neighbors on making sure that all the trees on their property are taken care of and maintained. It is very important when there is the kind of high-sustained winds we have had recently.

I completed a bit on one project and a little on another so the day was productive. I just have a lot more to do in a short time. (I can hear a bunch of you saying what else is new?)

Today Caroline and I are going to Mommy and Me for a make-up class since she was sick the last day of class at her regular time. That will consume most of the day.

I am grateful for neighbors who care.

Alas, my car didn’t escape a falling tree branch (see my blog). It’ll be in the shop for a couple weeks, I think…
