Muppet news both happy and sad

Rehearsal went well. We made it through the whole play on our feet so that is a big step forward. We open in about a week. Today one of the actresses is meeting with the Director for lunch and conversation about the later half of her monologues. So I get a day to work uninterrupted on hats and mask. Uninterrupted by rehearsal that is, Caroline is a whole other kettle of fish.
I think we have rain in our forecast today. The skies are clouding up and the wind is strong. I think any rain that we do have will be here only briefly. We could still use water from the sky for the plants.
The Muppet Stamps are OUT! I don’t know if they are in my area yet, but I so want a couple of sheets as well as the postcards. They look sooooo cool.
In much sadder news Jerry Juhl passed away on Monday. Jerry was there at the beginning of the Muppets and was a solid part in all that Jim did. He will be missed by the puppetry community and Muppet fans. My sympathies go out to his wife Sue and the rest of his family. I think I am going to do a Fraggle Rock marathon today while making hats.
I am grateful for Jerry Juhl and all that he did.
Kathy,
YOu probably know this but a relief was put up over the weekend of Jim Henson and a number of muppets on the theater that houses the emmies. Quite nice.
