Beach 2005 Day 1

Posted By on July 18, 2005

I have finished Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and I have to say I like it much better than the previous book. Not that it left me happy or anything but that I found the writing much tighter and the story did not meander, which I felt it did in the previous book. I am not going to say anything more because I don’t want to even hint at a spoiler. I am now looking forward to book 7 and hope that her publishers give her the time she needs to finish the book rather than impose a deadline and push her to make it.

Caroline loves the Ocean. She wants to run into it as far as I will let her. I got a lot of exercise yesterday keeping her from getting in over her head. She also built a dribble castle with her Uncle Patrick and her cousin Jenny. She spent as much time in the pool as I would allow her which was less than she wanted. She had a very active Caroline day. Now it is time to suit up again and go play in the sand and surf.

I am grateful that I finish Harry Potter last night so I won’t be wondering what happens next.

Yup. Half-Blood was excellent. Sad, though… but she’s becoming a better writer as she goes along.

It is going to be hard to have to wait for Book Seven. I would love to see the next book start with the next day after the end of Book Six rather than starting just prior to the commencement of the new school year.
