Getting Things Done

Posted By on May 12, 2005

I can see the top of my desk again and my elbows aren’t bumping into anything so I did get at least one thing accomplished this week. I am hoping for more but we are already up to Thursday.

Peter’s team won first place for the second half of his bowling league. His teammates are happy since all they wanted to do was beat this one team that has been driving them crazy for a while. Peter is feeling pretty good because the team was in last place when he joined. Worst to First was the chant. They had Peter go accept the prize for the group. I was so proud of him. It was quite an accomplishment for him.

I found the fabric for one of the costumes and a piece of another. I am going to try to have one of the jackets done by Monday. Saturday is full of puppetry and we have another function in the city we are going to attend as a family. That gives me today, Friday and Sunday to keep on schedule. I need to visit Home Depot today too for another piece of the puzzle.

Today I think I am going to be doing the weekend food shopping, pick-up stuff for the cats, and a few costuming things. A visit to the gym is in my future today also.

I am grateful for time to get things done in.

Okay, I hate to nag, but did you at least read my post the other day? (Geez, I’m about to sound like my mother). When you go out for a job and the interviewer asks you about what you’ve been doing for the last two years, are you going to put down that you’ve been building puppets, or are you going to say, “Well, I’ve been keeping busy and keeping my skills sharp by doing some part time editing and consulting from my home office. You may have seen a couple of my ads in Writer’s Digest?”

    “Oh, so that’s you?”

Okay, I’m being a nag, right? I’m nagging? You probably think I’m being a nag. I don’t mean to be a nag, so I’m gonna stop nagging. Right? I’m not gonna nag no more. See? I’ve stopped nagging already. No sirree, I’m not gonna do no more nagging. Yep, Mr. No-nag, that’s me. No more nagging. See? I’m not nagging no more right? Yep, not gonna nag no more. No nagging .
