I have a job interview Wednesday for a position that I would do really well in. I just have to convince those hiring of that fact and a few other things as well. It is the first interview since the literary agency that like me (they really liked me) but had concerns about my commute and their schedule since they do a lot of work on the west coast. I wrote here about some of my concerns about the hours so I think it worked out for everyone for the best. This would be basically the same as I had at Del Rey.
I had one of those weird incidents where a set of words keep popping up in things I am reading or watching. The words are
I really like that idea. I think I’ll look for a book on that subject. Can you recommend a title?
Mattie is 4 and I already notice there are less cuddles and kisses as she asserts her independence. She just doesn’t have as much time for Mommy anymore. There are so many interesting things to learn and do. It will only get worse as she gets older. I savor those precious moments when she climbs on my lap so I can read to her, or when she snuggles up to me while we watch Noggin.
Kathleen,
Best of luck on the job interview. Much as I absolutely hate hate hate looking for a job, I’ve found that usually the longer the look the better the eventual job.
You and Karen are both lucky to have children at that wonderful age. As much as I love the fact that my girls have become beautiful, funny, smart, and independent young ladies, I would give just about anything to have an hour with them as my little babes again. Peter’s absolutely right; not a moment you’re with Caroline is ever a wasted one.
Just a brief message to wish you all the best for the job interview…
