Almost a Year in Blogsville

In about 2 weeks I believe I will have been officially writing a blog for a year. It has been interesting writing about my life and thoughts and then throwing them out there for the world to see. I think if I did a break down of what I have written about that Caroline would top the list. Which is not a bad thing since she is so important to my life. I have blown off some steam through this blog and gotten great answers to questions I have posed. I like this blog thing and will continue to write in it.

California is very soggy right now. Some friends had mudslides around their house but so far their property has had little damage. Part of it might be that when they built the house they were very careful about leaving as many trees and shrubs as possible so they have older growth on their property than those around them who landscaped their properties to death.     Continued good luck (to both of us!) on the job search. I’m very pleased it’s been a relatively warm winter so far this year; I dislike winter precip, particularly as it affects my car. Remember, last winter was fairly bitter, so I think we were due for a slightly warmer one. My brother in southern Cal says it’s really awful out there, it’s almost impossible to get around between the rain and mud.

    As always, my thoughts are with you on the search. When Mattie goes to kindergarten next year, I’ll be back in the market. Money has been tight, but it’s worth it to watch my girl grow for as long as possible. I guess I’ll catch up on the bills next year…..
