   Thanks for the reminder. It reminds me that I’ve got a copy of Lord of the Rings sitting at home. I hadn’t read the books since high school and I’ve been pkcing it up when I can find the time. I’ve found it a far more rewarding read to my older eyes than I did back then.

   I’ll raise a glass to Prof. Tolkien tonight. Happy eleventy-three.

   I’ve only read the books about 3 times in my life. Every 10 years, or so, I’ll pick them up again. So much detail that I’ve forgotten, it’s almost like reading it anew. When the first movie came out my sister borrowed my trilogy, and hasn’t returned them, yet. Perhaps I should just make them a New Years present and treat myself to a new set. Happy Birthday J.R.R. and thanks for the wonderful world.
