I finally got to do something I’ve always wanted to do about seven or eight years ago, and attend my first Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Now, ya’ll have to remember that ah’m just a poor ol’ southern boy from North Carolina. Anyway, I’m staying with my best friend for Thanksgiving and she wants to attend the parade and videotape it. No problem. I’m there. I have my long winter coat, by ski gloves, jeans, hat, but I’m wearing one pair of cotten socks and tennis shoes. I’m warmn all over except my feet feel like they’re encased in blocks of ice. Long story short. I miss most of the parade because I’m tryiing to keep warm and when I get back to North Carolina, compared to New York , it’s like summer in the Bahamas. Three days later, I’m bedridden with what I think is the flu. Two days later I’m in the hospital being diagnosed with strep throat. Needless to say, I’ve developed an aversion to watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving day Parade.

    Happy Thanksgiving, Kath.
