Piazza sets a Record

After I had lunch yesterday, I went to Midtown Comics to see what had come in this week. If you are visiting New York and get a hankering for a comic book store, Midtown is 40th between 7th and 8th. The Drama Book Shop is on the same street which I went to also to pick up a few books I had read about that were drama books.
These stores are in what is called
I second the recommendation re: Midtown, where I’ve run into you a few times and which I’m going to miss like crazy after my office moves out of the city in a couple weeks. Fortunately, Gahl has set me up with a nice mail order account via their online service. I have never been to a more accommodating comic shop.
Hey Kath– I don’t have your new email address, sorry I’m posting on your blog. For Free Comic Book Day, I’m dressing up as Supergirl, but I can’t find a pattern for it. There’s fabric stores up here, but they don’t carry a lot of patterns, and really very little in terms of costume patterns. Can you check around at JoAnn’s or Jay’s to see if they have one? Thanks. Sorry again about posting on your blog.
I’m only occasionally in NYC for business and don’t really know the city that well or where all the best comic/book stores are, but I always stop in at Midtown and the Drama Book Shop. I had no idea they well regarded – to me they were just conviently close to the Port Authority and had a nice selection of stuff. Wish the Drama Book Shop carried a better selection of puppet books though.
Neat.
