Saying Good-bye to Julie

Posted By on March 18, 2004

I went with Peter to Julie Schwartz’s Memorial. It was a nice tribute to a man who was one of the first science fiction fans, one of the first agents exclusively for science fiction and fantasy, and the one of the creators of comic book fandom in all its glory. Lots of different people who had been part of Julie

Hi.. no mention of the memorial in any paper here in Orlando.. was it written up in The Daily News or the NY Post? …I’d love to read about it… thanks so much for your personal experience..Suzie

The memorial just happened today (Thur. the 18th), so there wouldn’t be any press coverage in newspapers yet. Since nothing’s coming up on Google News in the general media about it, and since there was wide coverage of Julie’s death, I suspect the memorial won’t receive coverage outside of specialty websites and publications.
