Glasses do help but my eyes have to get use to them now. I have quickly learned to take them off right after I finish what I am doing because they really screw up my sense of balance when I look up. Last night they got totally tangled up in my hair. Peter had to help me get them free. The test is going to be later this week when I am working on sculpting some heads of the dolls I want to get done.<\/p>\n
There is a series of commercials on TV that I think are being done by Gerber but the tag line is “A Baby changes everything.” It is so true. From the moment that I first knew I was pregnant, my life went through some radical changes. Then holding her in my arms for the first time my life changed again and has never been the same since. She has shown me the world through her eyes time and time again. Now she wants to be more independent. She has hit the point in her development that she wants to see if she can take care of problems herself. She wants to help too. She has been taking dishes into the kitchen when she is done with them. She doesn’t want any more help with the potty. She wants to help me cook. The other day I was making pancakes and she wanted to help me so I let her stir the dry goods together under my supervision. That’s all she needed to do to be happy.<\/p>\n
I got an e-mail from someone about the puppet demo. They asked if I was scared to give away how I make the puppets since that would allow others to make them and possibly price me out of the market or make them better than I do. The way I make my puppets is not a national secret. A couple of years ago I might have not offered to do the demo but now I am comfortable with my abilities as a puppet builder and I really feel that it is my duty to educate the public about the possibilities of puppetry. I want more people thinking of puppets as a way to express Art for I believe that only a change in attitude will allow for puppetry to flourish in the creative fields.<\/p>\n
