I needed DragonCon this year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I wanted to see my friends and family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I wanted to see my parents and their new home. I wanted to hug them and talk to them in person. That was the longest I have ever gone not seeing them in person and that sucked. We stayed connected through Zoom and phone calls and Facetime<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was all I wanted and a bag of chips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I got to spend time catching up with old friends and made some new ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hugs I got a lot of them, and it was so nice to be able to hug my friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It did a lot for my mental health. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We did take precautions. We were masked. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Caroline joined us Friday night and left on Monday. It was lovely to have her there. She had a blast. She also had fun telling people who have known her since she was ten months old that she is now eighteen and in college. The expressions of disbelief were amazing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It felt normal for the most part and that helped my mental state so much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
