Well one big project done. I got the guest room in order since we will be having a guest or two shortly. Now onto the living room which has dissolved into a large mess than it was yesterday. Caroline was searching for something and the evidence of her search is all over the place. That and she found a couple more toys in her room she wanted to bring downstairs. She has a number of baskets and bags she uses to carry her stuff from one place to another. Woe betide you if you try to put the stuff in the wrong basket. I put her ponies into her Oswald basket and she exchanged them right after she got up from her nap.<\/p>\n
It was raining a lot last night with thunder and lighting. I found the cats hiding in the dining room under the table. They were all curled up with each other until I showed up and they were happy to see me. Caroline watching the lighting and listened to the thunder but she didn’t have an adverse reaction to either. We were just hoping that our cable wasn’t going to go out before the end of the National Spelling Bee.<\/p>\n
That was an exciting contest and it was fun to try to spell the word before they put it up on the screen. I didn’t know that they added a time limit to the kids trying to figure out how to spell a word. Once the buzz went they had 30 seconds to come up with the answer. I am not a good speller and I know I am not. Peter and I were trying to figure out how we would use any of the Champion spelling words in a sentence in regular conversation and came up blank on a lot of them. Medical terms were of no use but some of the philosophical and religious words were a lot of fun to work into a conversation. It was also interesting to learn the rules to the spelling bee as the evening went along.<\/p>\n
