This has its pluses and minuses. Water temperature was one of them. When we would take a shower, we would announce to the household because one flush of a toilet or faucet running would lead to extreme cold or hot water pouring on the person in the shower.&nbsp;&nbsp;Also water pressure was not the best. My parents had the plumbing redone with copper pipes since the pipes that were there had the equivalent of plaque in the arteries. One of the crew was a German who I believe his name was Hans. My brother Patrick said one day, \u201cIn phrases I never thought I would say, there is a German in our basement with a blowtorch.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When I was the stage manager at Georgia Ensemble Theater, I would take notes from the director and give them to the actors. These were for me so I didn\u2019t write them neatly because I could read them. This lead to an in-joke at the theater. I wrote, \u201c\u2019Sudden Rush\u2019 do the head thing\u201d one of the actors grabbed my notes and started reading them because he could not believe how atrocious my handwriting was so he read it as \u201cSudder Fusty do me head\u201d. Sudder Fusty because our safe swear around the place.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Around here if you listened to things I say, you might think I was a serial killer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHas anyone seen my eyeballs?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe bodies stacked up over there.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSomeone get that arm away from the cat please.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then there are things that makes sense within context but sound strange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPut down the Dark One\u2019s Dagger. There will be no summoning today.\u201d This was&nbsp;&nbsp;after Caroline grabbed the recreation my brother Sean did for my 50<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;birthday of the dagger from Once Upon a time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOf course the cat is sleeping in the demon trap.\u201d This is a rug we have is a recreation the demon trap symbols from Supernatural.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHas anyone seen the eye of Agamotto?\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhich one?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAvengers Infinity War version.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is because I have several versions of this Doctor Strange prop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I do something I call heard around the house on my Facebook page where I post these kind of phrases, sometimes with an explanation and most times without.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am grateful for all the strange phrases that pass my lips.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The house I grew up in was built in the early 1900s.
