It was a well-done movie. The script covered the material of the books distilling it down to a movie length movie. The acting was very impressive and of course I was head over heels about the costumes. Sumptuous kimonos and silks. Business suits of the time. It was a visual feast. Ken Watanabi and Michelle Yeoh continue to make me want to see everything they have done. Li Gong who played Hastumomo is another one to watch. I had enjoyed Ziyi Zhang in <i>Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon<\/i> and was glad to see her in this too. I wouldn&#8217;t say that this one needs to be on the big screen to be appreciated unless you love looking at Kimono details.<\/p>\n<p>We finished watching the Eccleston season of <u>Dr. Who<\/u>. Wow! I mean WOW! I haven&#8217;t been this impressed with a TV show much less Dr. Who in quite a while. Once we got to the end I wanted to go back and see all the pieces of the puzzle again to put it together myself. And Captain Jack gets his own TV series out of it. I&#8217;ll be there for that one too. I haven&#8217;t seen &#8220;Christmas Invasion&#8221; yet but hope to soon. As soon as this comes out on DVD (February I am told) it is so bought.<\/p>\n<p>Today I clean and put things away so that either later today or tomorrow I start on the next set of costumes. I am going to be competing with myself this time since one costume consists of me and Caroline and the other of Ariel and her buddies.<\/p>\n<p>I am grateful that the BBC did it right.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ariel and I went to see Memoirs of a Geisha.
