I learned something today.<\/p>\n
President\u2019s day use to be called George Washington Day and was celebrated on February 22nd<\/sup> which is the day of Washington\u2019s birth. Then in 1971 under the Uniform Monday Holiday act which gave federal workers 3 day weekends rather than specific calendar days off, it moved to Monday in celebration of both Lincoln (February 12th<\/sup>) and Washington\u2019s birthdays. It was still called Washington\u2019s Birthday but slid to President\u2019s Day over the years.<\/p>\n Caroline has her winter break this week so she is home enjoying being home rather than traveling or in school.<\/p>\n We are in the \u2018can I get it done\u2019 part of our lives. I have several deadlines that some are hard deadlines and other soft deadlines. So I am off to being the long list of THINGS THAT MUST BE DONE! with breaks to spend time with my daughter.<\/p>\n I am grateful that Caroline had some time to regroup.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" I learned something today.
