I bought a college class ring or rather my parents bought it for me. I put it on my finger and left it there for 31 years.<\/p>\n

This past week for the first time it was starting to bother me. It didn\u2019t help that the ring got caught and yanked up my finger a bit and, for some unknown reason, it had developed a rough edge. <\/p>\n

We went to a jeweler and he carefully managed to remove the ring and apparently just in time as there was damage under the ring that was getting worse. <\/p>\n

There is a photo under the cut and I am warning for a mangled finger.<\/p>\n

I never lost circulation in that finger the entire time I wore the ring. I never had a problem with it until last week. <\/p>\n

Looking at the finger this morning, I have a feeling that I am going to have a scar there but I would rather look at a scar than no finger.<\/p>\n

I am grateful that I got the ring off.<\/p>\n
