It was a Baltimore Orioles game with my parents. I have always had a soft spot for the Orioles and they are my AL team of choice.<\/p>\n<p>We moved to Atlanta in the late 60s and watched the Braves. If you remember anything about the Braves in the late 60s or early 70s, you would recall how painful it was to watch them. I can remember kids at school wearing baseball shirts from other teams. This changed in the 90s when the farm team came into its own and the Braves were something to watch. It was worth suffering through the 70s and the 80s to get to the 90s. We went to a few games as a family in good times and bad. My parents still watch the games and have hopes that the team is not going to totally dissolve this year.<\/p>\n<p>Peter is a Mets fan and makes no bones about it.
