Got more and less done than I had hoped. The coat will be done this morning then I move onto a few crafty pieces of the costumes and finish cutting out the next pattern. I will feel such a sense of accomplishment when I do get this coat finished. I hate linings. I really hate linings but sometimes they have to be done. I have the parts for one object and most of the parts for another. I think I am going to put down the sewing for a day and get some other cool stuff done.<\/p>\n
I didn’t have the dental surgery yesterday. My mouth was too sore from the other day so the dentist suggested that I give it about 2 weeks to recover. I tried to suck it up and do it but the gums are very inflamed and my mouth hurts a lot. A little recovering time is a good thing.<\/p>\n
It rained last night. What my grandma use to call a gulley washer came through the area. We got about an inch in less than 15 minutes I believe. Good thing too. The grass and trees could really use the water since we had oppressive heat earlier this week.<\/p>\n
The autopsy for Terry Shiavo was released yesterday. This lays to rest a lot of questions and created a few more. Basically she was mostly brainstem by the time she died. Her brain weighed half of what a normal human brain should weigh. She was blind and had been for quite a while. The part of her brain that processed vision was totally destroyed. Her bones were spongy and soft due to osteoporosis. The doctors came to the conclusion that rehabilitation was not possible due to the massive lose of neurons. There was no sign of abuse that led to her condition but the bulimia couldn\u2019t been proven as the cause either. The parent\u2019s attorney says that they want to look at the report and see if there are any irregularities (subtext: if there is anything that they can blame on their son-in-law since they accused him of abusing Terri). They also now say that they knew that her case was hopeless but wanted to take her home and take care of her. (Changing what they were screaming about before she died.) I am sorry for their pain and that of Michael Shiavo. They all went through a lot both together and apart. I hope that this report might have given the parents some peace of mind but I am beginning to doubt it.<\/p>\n
