For many today it is Ash Wednesday. The beginning of Lent and a time of reflection and contemplation. Caroline is giving up Chocolate for Lent which is a big deal considering how much she enjoys chocolate. I don\u2019t think Happy Lent is quite right so I will say that those who observe, I hope you have a smooth Lent.<\/p>\n
Today is the first day in a while that I woke up and was breathing through my nose and not my mouth. I am still stuffy but not to the degree I was over the weekend. And, for the first time since Friday, my sinus headache is not all encompassing. I can think without feeling like I have to work my way through the pain fog to think. The tinnitus is still going strong but I have learned ways over the years to ignore it.<\/p>\n
I wonder if it is as quiet in New Orleans as it uses to be on Ash Wednesday. <\/p>\n
The cats are taking turns sleeping at my hip. I think in their own kitty way that they missed me. <\/p>\n
It is nice to get back home. I do feel a little more focused after going away for a week. It was nice spending some time with old friends and sharing those experiences that will be remembered fondly down the road. <\/p>\n
But now I need to shift focus and get back to making stuff for this year\u2019s Art Shows. That and taking care of the house which I think will include laundry today.<\/p>\n
