Especially if you ride the LIRR. Due to a fire in a switching system that is over 100 years old, everything at the Jamaica station was FUBAR’d. I know some people who had a really hard time getting home. <\/p>\n

In my neck of the woods, I helped Ariel finish up a quilt she has been planning all summer. She picked out the fabric and the pattern she wanted and I sewed it. Took most of the afternoon, but she has what she wanted.<\/p>\n

It was rather nasty weather all evening and today is starting with some rather heavy downpours. We do need the rain. Our lawn looks rather sickly but it does prevent activities outside today.<\/p>\n
