An Open Letter to My Husband Peter David<\/p>\n
Dear Peter,<\/p>\n
Nine years ago I walked into the chapel that I knew very well from attending mass there with my parents. But this time was very different. For one thing I was wearing a dress (and my friends can tell you what a rare occurrence that was) and for another I was going to be married to you. The wedding went off without a hitch and the reception went pretty well too. Friends and family who wishes us well in our new married existence surrounded us. The Shakespeare Tavern even got a trivia question out of it.<\/p>\n
Nine years later and I still grin and a get a little teary eyed thinking about that day. <\/p>\n
We have done a lot as a couple in those nine years. We have collaborated on projects together. We have traveled some very interesting places. We have introduced each other to things that we like. We found that we can have a conversation about the oddest things. Our love has grown over the years more and more for each other.<\/p>\n
I married a man who is thoughtful and kind. You encourage me to be the best that I can be. You believe in me at times that I don\u2019t really trust myself. You light a fire under me when I need to get off my keister and get something done. You come up with crazy sketches for us to do with costumes I build for conventions. You love me and tell me so in many ways. I love and am loved in return and I know that can be a rare thing indeed.<\/p>\n
Then there is Caroline. Without you there would be no Caroline and I, sometimes, have a hard time remembering a time before she was in my life. We have a lovely daughter who works hard in school and goes that extra step to help others as well. She is kind and loving. Her imagination is a wonderful thing to listen to as she creates grand stories while playing with her toys or watch her create a comic on her dry erase board about all kinds of subjects. <\/p>\n
I love you Peter. I am happy that I married you. I feel truly blessed that I have you in my life.<\/p>\n
