The Sun peeked through the clouds for just a moment. If we are lucky it will show itself for a longer period of time today. Last night’s storm was a doozy. The wind was rough and the rain was beating against the house. Made it rather hard to sleep. No thunder or lighting.<\/p>\n
If the weather does improve for tomorrow, then the trip into the city to look at the holiday windows is on. I am looking forward to it.<\/p>\n
Two of the cats sleeping next to me are having little hunting dreams. The muzzles and the paws are twitching at an impressive rate.<\/p>\n
The Nutcracker is done by a local dance troop and studio and they have been doing this show for a while. It is a showcase for the students of the studio so the dance is not as clean as one would see with the New York City Ballet. But it did show the children watching kids just like them dancing.<\/p>\n
Caroline’s teacher divided the children into groups for the parents. I had Caroline and 3 other kids in my group. They were very well behaved considering how long they had to sit before the show started. I found out that normally the kids walk to the theater but because of the pouring rain, the school sprang for a bus. Good thing too considering how hard it was raining when we left.<\/p>\n
The whole class was on their best behavior and they all watched the ballet without too much fidgeting. I was amazed at how much the boys were paying attention to what was going on. I did have to explain a couple of things afterwards esp. since they cut out a chunk of the ballet for time. Overall a good field trip and I was glad to be part of it.<\/p>\n
