In which we basically drive south.<\/p>\n
That was most of the day. In the car getting closer to Atlanta. We knew when we got up that it would not be all the way so we made reservations at the Chattanooga ChooChoo Hotel. As a special treat, we got one of the train car rooms.<\/p>\n
We spend most of the day driving through parts of the Blue Ridge mountains. It was beautiful. It continued to be beautiful when driving through the rain we met head-on but a little bit less.<\/p>\n
We stopped for lunch at Tudor’s Biscuit World which had really good biscuits. But it also had a chef that understood Polish cooking and I had the best golabki I have had in a very very long time. The meal reminded me of my grandma’s cooking up on the farm and brought back some very pleasant memories.<\/p>\n
Caroline amused herself in various ways including napping, playing with her stuffed animals and looking for unicorns in the forests we drove through. We amused ourselves with the satellite radio and the Broadway show tunes channel. We heard shows we knew and ones we had never heard of. Ariel was happy that they played a bunch of songs from Rent.<\/p>\n
