The funeral was peaceful. It allowed us to remember Robbie as we all knew him. There was comfort among friends and meeting other people that Robbie’s life had touched. And he had touched a lot of people’s lives. He will be missed and he will be remembered by each and every one of us. Robbie had a way of making his own path and seeing what was off the usual way of going. I am going to try that for myself and see what I can see.<\/p>\n
I have also come to the conclusion that I am tired of see some people I count as friends only at funerals. We need to come up with some picnics or dinners or something so we have some other memories to pepper in with the pain. I’ll give it more thought after Labor Day. Honestly it will probably be more like October. I haven’t had a September this packed in my life.<\/p>\n
Got the cat sitters sorted out for our trip. Now I need to get the supplies for the cats so they can be sat. I also have to get the house in some kind of shape before it is sat.<\/p>\n
And then there are the objects for the art show which I am still working on. I have a cunning plan for what I am going to show and I have already talked to the wonderful art show directors as to what is going on. I don’t think that Anne and John Parise really get enough credit for what they do. That art show is a bear with a tiger and a lion tossed in and they manage to get it done every year.<\/p>\n
I am grateful for how Robbie’s life touched mine and caused me to look at the world slightly differently.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
